Annette Riley

Ms. Riley is a native Arizonan and has been employed in the health insurance industry and related fields since 1980.

She began her career with Samaritan Health Services, in their Phoenix office, where she was responsible for contract management for the self-administered, self-funded employee welfare benefit plans sponsored by the Company. In 1986, she joined CoreSource where she was named Vice President of Compliance.

She is a recognized expert in federal regulations applicable to administration of employee welfare benefit plans, such as ERISA, COBRA, ยง125, HIPAA, PPACA and has more than twenty years of experience in developing plan design for self-funded employee welfare benefit plans and writing the plan document. This includes coordinating ancillary service providers to compliment the plan design, such as Participating Provider Organizations, Prescription Drug Systems, Health Care Management Organizations and Reinsurance Companies.

In addition to the above, she developed, implemented and managed the COBRA Administration unit for the second largest third party administrator in the nation, developed a prototype plan document, and has presented numerous compliance seminars on ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA and PPACA for self-funded clients and their brokers throughout the nation.

In 1997, she joined Summit as Director of Marketing.
