Mark has held various positions in the insurance industry since 1989.
He began his career with American Insurance Management Company (AIMCO) in the accounting department. In short order he found himself working in the IT department, while still working on his degree at Arizona State University. Mark took a real liking to the IT environment and soon found himself managing the IT department.
As often happens in the insurance and business world AIMCO was acquired by Forrest T Jones Consulting Company out of Kansas City, Missouri. Mark would continue to manage the IT department and embrace all the changes in IT and insurance until 1995 when Forrest T. Jones decided to close the Phoenix office. At that time Mark moved to Saint Louis, Missouri and took a position with Genelco, Inc., a well-known provider of software in the health benefits and Workers Compensation arena. During this phase of his career he assisted with troubleshooting software anomalies and had the pleasure of traveling the World training clients on the uses of the software application. Mark was lucky enough to see much of the United States and Canada as well as Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore in his position.
The pull of Phoenix was too great and Mark found himself back in the valley of the sun. He once again joined forces with close associates from the AIMCO and Forrest T. Jones days. Mark joined Summit in 1997 as a consultant and later that year was brought on as the Director of IT. Throughout the years Mark has been involved with many strategic projects that have helped Summit stay at the forefront of technology. As technology has become more cumbersome and specialized Mark has relinquished some duties and currently serves as the Manager of Accounting and IT overseeing a staff of three and ensuring that our clients receive all of their financial and information needs.
Mark loves to travel and is an avid fan of his childhood home state teams, which would be the Vikings, Twins, Wild, Timberwolves, Lynx, and Gophers!
